Gynaecology
I have completed additional advanced training in minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery and can offer various surgical options tailored to suit individual patient circumstances including:
- Laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy & adnexal or tubal surgery including for ovarian cysts, infertility or investigation of pelvic pain
- Laparoscopic of excision of endometriosis
- Hysteroscopic Surgery – including diagnostic hysteroscopy, resection of fibroids, polyps, septoplasty, adhesiolysis, management of infertility & retained products of conception, difficult to remove IUDs
- Endometrial ablation (incl. NovaSure)
- Vaginal hysterectomy and vaginal surgery for prolapse issues
- Abdominal hysterectomy, myomectomy and open adnexal surgery
- Management of cervical abnormalities.
I provide a full range of management options, including conservative, medical and surgical, for benign Gynaecological issues, including:
- Abnormal menstrual bleeding & menstrual issues
- Pelvic pain and endometriosis, including management of Stage 4 endometriosis
- Management of fibroids, including resection & myomectomy
- Ovarian cyst & masses
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
- Investigation and surgery for infertility
- Tubal pathology including surgery, salpingectomy & tubal ligation
- Ectopic pregnancy and early pregnancy loss
- Fertility issues and pre-conception counselling
- Cervical screening, colposcopy, abnormal pap smears including further management
- Family planning and contraception counselling
- Insertion and removal of intra-uterine device and/or implanon
- Management of vaginal or pelvic organ prolapse & urinary incontinence
- Menopause, peri-menopausal symptoms and post-menopausal bleeding
- Well Woman screening checks.
Obstetrics
I pride myself on having trained in busy premier tertiary units around Sydney which have given me experience in both high and low risk pregnancies, having delivered thousands of babies over the last 10 years. I focus on understanding your individual pregnancy needs, medical background and personal story and delivering a safe and nurturing birthing experience. For those seeking pregnancy I offer pre-conception counselling and prenatal screening, as well as management of early pregnancy issues. It is a privilege to be involved in a couple’s journey and the incredible experience of birth, as well as to continue to support maternal well-being and recovery in the postnatal period. I believe in empowering women (and their partners) to be at the centre of a collaborative decision-making process for their pregnancy.
