Procedures

Colposcopy

Colposcopy is a diagnostic procedure used to assess abnormal cervical screening results. It allows Dr Lowes to closely examine the cervix, and if necessary, take a biopsy. It is a key part of early detection and prevention of cervical cancer.

Hysteroscopy

A hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive gynaecological procedure used to examine the inside of the uterus. It is often performed to investigate abnormal bleeding, polyps, fibroids, or to remove placenta or foetal tissue after pregnancy delivery. Since this procedure is performed through the cervix with no incisions, patients typically experience a faster recovery and minimal disruption to daily life.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy, or keyhole surgery, is a fundamental aspect of minimally invasive gynaecological care. As an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, Dr Lowes uses laparoscopy to diagnose and treat a range of conditions including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and pelvic adhesions. It offers less postoperative pain, reduced scarring, and a quicker return to daily activities.
